Six Signs She is The One

After successfully navigating your way through the dating world, you have met a woman who seems to be perfect. She has ticked all the boxes that others before her have missed, some that you have prioritized as wanting in your ideal partner. The question is, what factors should you consider when deciding if she is the one?

You may feel pressure from society, family, or your community to get married, have kids, and do the traditional things your parents and their parents did. But don’t dive in too quickly; this isn’t a race. Deciding whether you want to live, marry, or spend the rest of your life with someone is a significant undertaking.

Here are six main factors to consider:

She Doesn’t Want to Change You.

She has no desire to change you and is content with you as you are. She will not demand that you change your style, friends, or interests. She accepts you, and you accept her for who she is.

So many of us have gone through relationships where you’re seen as a “project to be fixed”. Many women feel that they can change and groom someone into their ideal partner with their guidance.

This is not the type of woman you need. You are your own person with your way of dealing with the world. If you find a woman that can see your faults and any extra baggage you are carrying, but still accepts you for who you are and what you do, she is a keeper.

You Resolve Fights Instead of Causing More

Arguments, conflicts, and disagreements are inevitable in any relationship, but if you’re with the right person, you’ll want to work out your differences rather than end the relationship.

Arguments and disputes should not tear you apart. With the right partner and communication practices, your bond and relationship will only become stronger. Communicating when angry or hurt is hard, but if you work together to find the best ways to express those emotions, you’ll avoid quite a lot of discomfort.

Finding the right woman will mean you both understand each other’s communication style, stay compassionate and try to resolve things before they result in going to bed angry or leaving the house angry. That kind of behaviour, which is very common, builds so much relationship toxicity but can be avoided with proper communication.

If you find a woman who also sees communication as the backbone of a successful relationship, if you are both comfortable with talking out arguments and disagreements without the situation escalating or becoming abusive, this is the correct partnership.

A man doesn’t need a woman who thrives on drama and who causes arguments for the sake of it.

Values And Beliefs

It’s not just your mutual enjoyment of the same books and movies that binds you together, but also your ideas and ideals. It’s fantastic if you share similar tastes in art, music, books, and films, but your shared interests should go beyond hobbies. If you and your partner share similar values and ideas, you are already on a healthy path.

Deeply talking together about what you want out of life, love, family, retirement, etc., at the beginning of a relationship can lay a strong foundation for the path ahead and guides you on whether you are aligned for a lifetime together.

You Talk With Ease About Everything

You can talk about the future with her as readily as chatting with your friends watching a football match on a Sunday.

You’re not afraid to talk about your feelings, dreams, and worries. If you feel comfortable sharing your fears and dreams while also discussing politics, even if you share different views, this is rare and should be cherished and seen as a celebratory banner saying, “she’s the one!”

You Are Willing To Compromise

You will disagree with her at times, but you will be willing to compromise. There’s being a push-over, and then there is recognizing merit in what your partner is raising as a point and finding a way to meet in the middle.

Compromise is a critical factor in all relationships. Compromising isn’t always easy; it can be highly frustrating, especially when you’re going against something that you would prefer. You know you’re with the right person when a compromise is worth it, and they feel the same for you.

For example, your girlfriend got tickets to see a musical without asking you, and you had plans to chill with some friends. You cancel your plans and go to the show with your girlfriend even though you’d rather watch football than people singing and dancing on a stage. But you love her, it’s made her happy, and even though it’s not your ideal night, it’s worth it.

Compromise is a part of balance, and balance is essential in a relationship. If your lady is willing to compromise in return, she is definitely on the road to being the one.

Think about businesses negotiating, one side doesn’t ask for something ridiculous, and the other just accepts — the same stands in your love life.

She Makes You Feel Good

There is positive reinforcement, and you feel good within yourself when you are with her. Even when you are not on the best of terms, she does not intentionally make you feel like you are lacking in one way or another. Nothing feels better than the serotonin boost you feel when you spend quality time with the right person.

You don’t want to be with someone who constantly brings you down. There is enough stress in your everyday life, and your partnership should bring you excitement, confidence, happiness, and all that is good and healthy mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Some Other Factors to Consider

The above six things are the framework for deciding if she is the one, but if you need a few more to help with your decision, think about these;

  • The sexual connection is excellent and is open and honest. Even outside of sex, a physical connection is essential for a long-lasting relationship.
  • You feel proud of her and her accomplishments. You want her to succeed in life.
  • You admire her and the way she talks to and treats others around you.
  • You fully trust her when she’s out with her girlfriends.

If you’ve considered all the above and still don’t know, then talk it out between you. Share the things that are not sitting well. She may be feeling the same way, and finding the answer together may be precisely what you both need to make up your minds.
