In the last two years since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, you may have been experiencing higher levels of self-doubt and fear as an entrepreneur. Now you are presented with two options: continue to let fear hold you back, or learn how to leverage this turbulent time as an opportunity for growth. By choosing the latter, you will also begin to learn that mindset and mental strength is the key to not only surviving, but thriving in this new economy.

Marcus Toler is the founder of 360 Marketing and Big Day Productions, specializing in event services that feature DJ’s, live music and photo booths. His unique creative strategies are tailored to meet any requirement set by his clients, whether they are a small entrepreneur or a CEO of a major company. Marcus also works with college interns all over the US, to give them real-world experience in the digital marketing space.

Finding the right support network

Entrepreneurship is commonly said to be a lonely journey, and at times it feels like we are the only ones feeling the way we do.

Marcus Toler believes that a major challenge men face is reaching out for support, especially from those we see as more successful than us. He also shares that because self-doubt and fear is at an all time high, following the onset of the pandemic, this self-made obstacle can greatly limit your growth.

Prove to yourself that you are more than capable

All entrepreneurs endure a series of successes, failures, wins and losses along their journey. In the process however, they gain new skills, tools and expertise. Marcus shares that his biggest challenge was transitioning from being a creative DJ, to taking on a more technical and strategic marketing role, sharing, “although the switch was challenging, I proved to myself I could work with anyone no matter their type of business. Now, my biggest challenge is finding time to help more people.”

Commit to a daily routine to improve your mental strength

Our mental health sets the foundation for everything that is possible, especially when it comes to creating business success. When you are on top of your work tasks, especially the most important ones, you can largely reduce self-doubt and fear, as you feel confident in your ability to deliver.

Marcus Toler maintains a flexible daily routine, but ensures he carries out all of his non-negotiables such as taking his vitamins and going to yoga or the gym. When it comes to getting the most important tasks done, he states, “I feel like I am the most productive in the morning, so I want to take advantage of every morning.”

Having grown multiple companies to great heights, Marcus is now committed to helping others push past their self-doubt and fear to achieve the same, sharing, “Success to me is being able to do what I love and it never feels like work. Also, helping as many people as I can to live out their dreams of being a successful business owner.”
