Pushing Past Limiting Beliefs

Most of our limiting beliefs are untruths imposed on us by others. We get to choose whether or not we take on that belief as our truth. Our choices in life significantly impact the direction our life goes in, thus, it is important to make conscious choices from a place of deep awareness. 

Growing up as a child, Justin struggled immensely with dyslexia and speech impairment. He was told by doctors that he would never become an athlete or achieve academic success. Justin pushed past this limiting belief imposed on him by his doctors and went on to become an athlete, representing Australia at the Commonwealth Games. Moreover, he also now runs his own business.

The 3 Key Elements To Success

In The Successful Male’s interview with Justin, we asked him what he believes the 3 key elements that make someone successful are. 

Justin shared, “The first key is to be obsessed with your craft. Choose something you can double down on, stay consistent with, and something you cannot stop thinking about. The second key is to hire a mentor or coach to help you get there. Every great athlete or entrepreneur has had a coach at some point, to help direct them and hold them accountable on their journey. The third key is to celebrate your wins. Entrepreneurs are high achievers and are always striving for more. In the process, it is easy for them to forget celebrating the little and big wins along the way.” 

Routine For Success

Every master and every great leader knows the power of the compounding effect. By aiming to grow 1% more each day, over time, you will see the daily progressions reflected in your external world.

Justin swears by a daily routine that helps him prime both his physical and mental states. In the morning, he focuses on a practice that contributes towards his physical and mental growth. Following his morning practice, he works on his business, and in the evenings, he works on building his relationships. 

A combination of pushing past limiting beliefs, living by the 3 key principles to success, and maintaining a consistent daily routine helps Justin grow in all areas in life. Lastly, he shares, “Success is where preparation and opportunity meet. Success seems to be connected with action.”
